Thanks for another successful Bass Bash!
The Bass Bash 2020 was a great success! Thanks to all who participated and attended. We will be back next year as “Bass Magazine’s Bass Bash” and look forward to more performances from the biggest names in bass!
We were able to set aside two separate donations from proceeds.
The first donation is specifically from the sales of Jimmy Haslip’s CD’s at the show and matched by The Bass Bash. This is being awarded to the Musician Treatment Foundation a 501(c)3 who’s mission is to provide surgical and related care for the shoulder, elbow, and hand problems of under and uninsured professional musicians Thank you Jimmy Haslip for your kind, caring donation!
The second donation is to the Victor Wooten Center for Music & Nature a 501(c)3 to be used for either 1 full or 2 partial scholarships for Bass/Nature or Music/Nature program in 2020. For instructions on how to apply, please download this PDF application file and follow all instructions!

Bass Bash returns! January 16 & 17, 2020!
This January 2020 we are proud to return for our 17th successful year of the Bass Bash, a two-night bass-centric concert features some of the world’s most exciting and inspirational bassists showcasing their latest projects. If you are in Southern California on January 16th and 17th, this is show to catch for musical inspiration, hang with the bass community, and to enter to win some great prizes.
This show has been the most exciting and successful bass focused event during the Winter NAMM show. The lineup will be HOT and the space is limited, so buy your tickets in advance to see performances by some of the world’s most inspiring bass players and musicians. It will feature 5 artists a night – go to the Artist Lineup page for details.
Besides all the incredible music, the Bass Bash will have a raffle with prizes ranging from basses to effects pedals, strings to bass bridges and more!
The two-night event is scheduled for Thursday January 16th and Friday January 17th at The Phoenix Club in Anaheim, California. Admission is $20 each night and is open to the public. Tickets on sale NOW!.
The goal is for proceeds, if any, to be distributed to one or more non-profit organization specifically designed for musicians. Some will be used to fund a Bass Bash scholarship to Victor Wooten’s Center for Music and Nature, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, to study with Victor Wooten and other world renowned music educators.
What better way to spend your first two nights of the NAMM convention than enjoying some great music while also helping worthy causes!
Thanks again to all the artists and special guest artists that brought their exciting and unique music to our stage last year. Also, we are sincerely grateful to all of the sponsors and vendors for their contributions towards the production, sponsored gear, monetary donations and items contributed to our raffle. We could not do it without their help!
Most of all, we appreciate you, the audience that continues to return every year and spreads the word about this show, started as a labor of love by the predecessors who started the Bass Bash and put so much work into building it. It’s upon that foundation that we’ve been able to grow this event into what it is today.
The Bass Bash is ‘not for profit’ and all funds are applied to production expense. We appreciate your enthusiasm and hope to continue to keep the show running during winter NAMM. Please sign up for our newsletter for upcoming event information and we look forward to seeing you in January!
